Every Izmade product is the brainchild of a collaborative design process. Ideas and intentions are discussed in a team, and developed in accordance with the values expressed in our Manifesto. In this first phase, particular attention is paid to the sustainability of the product through continuous research on materials and best practices in eco-friendly production.
We take the design to our workshop, where it is transformed into a working prototype. At this stage we take into account the technical issues related to assembly, disassembly, transportation, and packaging. Prototypes are then tested in order to determine the possible effects of their aging and misuse.
Our final products are the result of a marriage between a traditional approach to conceptual design --where ideas are conceived; and an artisanal approach to engineering and production --where the products are realized. The production process takes place entirely in our Turin (Italy) workshop, and is organized in small series, limited editions, or custom orders.
Izmade manages a collection of promotional materials for its products, and maintains a strong public image through its presence in exhibitions, trade fairs, markets, and pop-up shops.
Upon purchase, the item is carefully packaged so that it may be shipped to its local or international destination. The sale of products is idependantly managed by Izmade through e-commerce sites and an international network of distributors. Our in-house customer service team works to ensure customer satisfaction at every point of the sales process, from our workshop to the customer's front door.
